JAH Realty, L.P. (“JAH”) announces the acquisition of the former Toys “R” Us building located at the northwest corner of NW 138th and N. Pennsylvania Ave. in Oklahoma City, OK. The acquisition closed on April 30, 2019. The former Toys “R” Us building is adjacent to The Plaza at Quail Springs which is owned by JAH.

Graham Irvine of JAH commented: “The building is in the Quail Springs corridor which is one of the top retail submarkets in the state of Oklahoma. Given our long-time ownership of the adjacent center we were motivated to acquire this property from the trustee for Toys “R” Us. With this acquisition, we now control 15.5 acres at this location with over 150,000 s.f. of buildings allowing a unique opportunity to redevelop the overall project and to meet the leasing demand for what is otherwise a well occupied and stable submarket.”

Elise Lopez of JAH commented: “We already have significant interest from major box retailers who have not yet landed in the Quail Springs trade area, and expect to fully lease the project by the end of 2019.” Lopez will handle the leasing of the shopping center and can be reached at 405-486-7620 or elise.lopez@jahco.net.

JAH Realty, L.P. wholly owns and manages a shopping center portfolio of 2.25 million square feet in Dallas-Ft. Worth and Oklahoma City, and additionally manages another 2 million square foot portfolio throughout the country on behalf of TriGate Capital, LLC (an affiliated company).
