JAH Realty, L.P. (“JAH”) announces the execution of a new lease with At Home at the Plaza at Quail Springs in Oklahoma City. At Home will occupy over 117,000 s.f. of buildings, formerly occupied by Hobby Lobby, Red Rock Fitness and Toys R Us, at the Northwest corner of NW 138th and N. Penn on the peripheral of Quail Springs Mall. The specialty retailer’s stores each carry over 50,000 unique items across broad product categories including furniture, garden, home textiles, housewares, patio, rugs, seasonal decor, tabletop decor, and wall decor. At Home stores have a wide range of items; however, the company devotes a large portion of its space to seasonal merchandise.
“We are excited to add At Home to our tenant mix at the Plaza at Quail Springs” said Elise Lopez, Leasing Associate for JAH Realty. “At Home will bring a unique offering to the N. Oklahoma City/Edmond trade area. We anticipate they will drive a large number of daily shoppers into our development.” The Plaza at Quail Springs is home to Dollar Tree, Snippets, Fabrics Unlimited and The Wardrobe Menswear, in addition to several other local service providers.
Jeff Norman, President of JAH, stated “The Quail Springs corridor is consistently the top choice for retailers coming into our market. After purchasing the adjacent property which is a former Toys R Us earlier this year, we had a number of national retailers interested in this location. Our shopping center was the only site with an existing building that could realistically serve a store of this size making this a logical fit for both companies. ” The Quail Springs store will be the third At Home in the Oklahoma City MSA. At Home operates over 200 stores in 39 states.
JAH expects At Home to open in mid-year 2020. Karla Smith of CBRE represented At Home. Norman and Lopez represented JAH. JAH operates a retail portfolio of over 2.25 million square feet in the Oklahoma City and Dallas/Ft. Worth markets.
